The Planewalker Elite Specialization is now up to read! Be sure to leave feedback for me.
This is the first of several elite specialization ideas that I am going to post on this website. Here is the Mesmer elite specialization, the Spellslinger. Comment and let me know what you think and if you would want to play this.
It has finally happened. Bionicle is once again canceled by LEGO for a second time. It was originally going to run for three years, but it seems like it's not going to be the case since it is concluding again.
I regret not really joining the craze on the Internet when it came back. It has been a major part of my childhood ever since it first came out, and I feel like I have to appreciate what good it has done for me in my life. It is what I would like to call my favorite LEGO theme. It's a shame that it didn't last as long as I had hoped. But why did this suddenly happen to begin with? Why decide to cancel the theme after just two years? I think that the most logical answer has to be its sales. I don't think Bionicle has been as popular as LEGO's other themes and that is probably due to the lack of interest in the brand from the consumer. Also, the multimedia around this brand wasn't really anything spectacular. I mean, It was okay but It just wasn't processed through correctly. I think there should've been an actual TV series of Bionicle, with good animation and an entertaining story. Now I'm not saying Journey to One is bad (I haven't even seen it yet), but putting it on Netflix made it more exclusive than it should have been. Plus, the animated shorts should probably have been 3D and have multiple voice actors, rather than be 2D and have one person narrate and voice every character. But other than that, I will admit I've enjoyed the first half of the 2015 line with the Toa, even though I never bought the 2nd half and all of 2016. They were fun to play with and had some awesome pieces, But once I bought them, I never really felt like buying the rest, mostly because I already bought what I felt I needed. But will Bionicle come back again? I think it probably will, as long as we keep reminding LEGO of how much We love this theme. If they keep hearing our voices, then they'll give it back to us. Let's just hope they market the brand correctly though. I also doubt that LEGO will be quitting CCBS along with Bionicle. They know it has too much potential and it would be stupid to do so, in the sense of making fans angry. I do wonder what the next replacement brand will be though, if there is one. If not, then it'll probably be supporting the major brands, such as Star Wars and Superheroes, But that may not happen. Now onto what's been happening to me. I've been busy with real life with school and family, so I haven't had the time to post new creations on the Internet as of late. However, I will try to truly come back, but it's probably gonna be hard once I get into College. But you don't need to expect just Constraction MOCs from me. I will also be posting traditional LEGO Creations, such as minifigures, vehicles and buildings. But actions speak louder than words, so we'll just have to see how it goes. Other than that (along with Bionicle ending), I am looking forward to the future RIP Bionicle. I hope to see you again. Addendum: I managed to make a call with LEGO and asked them about the future of the CCBS system. They said that they would most likely keep it, but use it in different formats. We'll just have to wait and see, but since LEGO is actually one of the most reputable companies in the world, I doubt they would ignore any of their customers. |
